If you have felt like 2025 was heavy, slow, or emotionally intense, I want you to know you are not imagining it. I have heard that from so many women, and I have felt it too. Sometimes life is not asking you to produce more. It is asking you to shed what no longer fits so you can move forward clean.

In this episode, I talk about the Chinese calendar as a tool for pattern recognition, not prediction, and why the transition into 2026 can feel like an abrupt shift in momentum. I also share what the year of the snake tends to reveal internally, and what the year of the horse tends to reward externally.

Here’s what you can expect as you listen:

  • Why feeling stuck can be a sign of internal transformation, not failure

  • How identity shedding shows up in relationships, business, and your nervous system

  • The questions that help you name what you have outgrown

  • What aligned momentum looks like when it is built on clarity, not pressure

  • How commitment and consistency create movement that actually lasts

Why Growth Feels Slow Right Before It Accelerates

When a “hard year” is actually a holy setup

I keep hearing the same thing from women who are usually strong, capable, and used to making things happen: “2025 was hard.” Not hard in a dramatic, everything’s-on-fire kind of way. Hard in a heavy, slow, emotionally intense kind of way. Hard in the way that makes you wonder if you’re doing something wrong because you’re working, processing, praying, trying, and you still are not seeing the external rewards you expected.

If that has been you, I want to offer a different frame. Not an excuse. Not a bypass. A frame that helps you stop calling yourself broken when you are actually in a transition.

The Chinese calendar gave me language for something I was already feeling. It helped me see a pattern. And honestly, it validated what I have heard from so many clients who have felt stuck, tired, and weirdly “in between.”

Why I even care about the Chinese calendar

I have never been the person who follows the Chinese zodiac year to year. But when I learned the Chinese calendar is a lunisolar system built on long-term observation of nature, seasons, and human behavior, something clicked for me.

I love understanding the “why.” I do not want to blindly adopt a framework. I want to understand the history behind it, test it against real life, and decide what is useful. What I appreciate about this calendar is that it is not trying to control your life. It is offering a lens for cycles.

And I believe God works through order, rhythm, and timing. Not chaos. Not pressure. Not frantic hustle.

The year of the snake: why it felt so internal

The themes associated with 2025, the year of the snake, match what I have seen in real life: internal transformation, truth-telling, shadow work, and shedding.

If you felt like you were doing “foundation work” under the surface, you were. If you felt lonely, you were not alone. If you noticed emotional intensity, nervous system signals, or a new awareness in your body, you were not being dramatic. You were waking up to what your body has been trying to tell you for years.

And one of the biggest places I saw this show up was relationships.

Some relationships fell away quietly. No big blow-up. No dramatic conversation. Just a noticeable shift where you realized you are not in the same rhythm anymore. Other relationships hit a breaking point because you finally saw what you were no longer willing to tolerate.

I also saw this in business. Business models that used to feel “normal” started to feel heavy and misaligned. Hustle for the sake of hustle stopped working, not because you are lazy, but because your soul is not willing to pay that price anymore.

At some point, you hit a threshold. You realize, “I cannot wear this anymore.” Like a too-tight dress you tolerated for a while, until you finally cannot breathe in it.

The questions that reveal what you have outgrown

Before you can move forward with clean momentum, you have to name what is still clinging to you out of habit.

Here are three questions I want you to sit with:

Where did you outgrow something, but you keep trying to resurrect it anyway?

What old identity do you keep putting back on because it used to feel safe?

What do you know cannot come with you into the next season?

For me, one of my biggest lessons has been around hard conversations. I used to avoid them. Not because I am incapable, but because I carried a story that I was responsible for other people’s emotions. If they were sad, confused, or mad, I felt like I caused it and I had to fix it.

So I avoided. I tolerated. I said yes when I meant no. And then I wondered why I felt stuck.

Here is the truth: avoiding conversations did not keep me safe. It kept me small.

The year of the horse: the shift into visible momentum

The year of the horse is associated with forward motion, visibility, courageous action, and expansion through movement.

And I want to be clear. This is not me saying “It’s 2026 so everything will magically work out.” That is not how life works. This is me saying that seasons change, and when you recognize the season, you can partner with it instead of fighting it.

The horse rewards:

  • Clear decisions

  • Consistency over intensity

  • Trusting your body, not just your brain

  • Choosing a direction and staying with it long enough to build momentum

This matters because so many high-achieving women have trained themselves to sprint. You can create short bursts of success. You can force things into motion. But that is not the same as sustainable momentum.

Sustainable momentum is what happens when your identity and your actions finally match.

It is what happens when you stop trying to resurrect what you outgrew.

It is what happens when you stop trading peace for profits.

And yes, I said it exactly like that because I have done it. I have watched myself sacrifice time freedom, joy, rest, and alignment in the name of “success,” only to realize I was building a business that felt like a cage.

What I am taking into 2026, and what I am leaving behind

I can feel movement coming. I have felt it for a while, even before I connected the dots with the calendar. In prayer, in reflection, and in the way God keeps nudging me toward bigger visibility, bigger leadership, and a bolder message.

But here is what I know: I cannot lead the way I am called to lead if I keep avoiding the things that require courage.

So I am leaving behind the version of me that resists. The version of me that tolerates misalignment. The version of me that says yes to keep the peace while quietly losing herself.

And I am stepping into the version of me that moves with God. That makes clear decisions. That takes aligned action. That stays committed long enough to build real momentum.

If 2025 felt like the shedding, do not despise it. It might have been the setup.

If you are ready for momentum, do not confuse that with pressure. Momentum is not frantic. Momentum is focused.
