11A. EPISODE PAGE SUMMARY
There's a version of personal development work that feels like building on sand. You make progress, you shift something real, and then one disappointing result comes along and the whole thing slides. Not because you did it wrong, but because the foundation underneath it was never stable to begin with.
In this episode, I share a moment from my own life that brought this into sharp focus. Walking into a room full of former colleagues I hadn't seen in years, I felt that familiar tightening, and I realized I had to make a decision before I said a single word to anyone. Not about what to think or how to feel. About who I was going to be. That decision, made before anything else, is exactly what this episode is about.
Identity is the source code beneath every thought, feeling, belief, and behavior you have. Most of us were taught to start with our mindset. But mindset is only as strong as your last result. Identity holds even when results disappoint you, and that's what makes it the only place worth starting.
When we skip the identity layer, we end up in a loop. Results influence thoughts, thoughts shape feelings, feelings erode beliefs, beliefs change behavior, and the cycle tightens. I've watched this happen to women at every level of business and life, and I've lived it myself more recently than I'd like to admit.
Here's what this episode will help you understand and apply:
Why the thoughts-feelings-beliefs-behaviors model breaks down the moment results disappoint you
What the queen, ice queen, and prostitute paradigms reveal about the identity you're actually operating from
How to recognize prostitute energy in your own behavior, including the subtle ways it shows up in business
What it looks like to choose queen identity consistently, not just once
How operating from a stable identity changes the way people around you respond

Why Your Mindset Work Keeps Failing You and What's Actually at the Root
There's a moment most high-achieving women know well. You've done the work. You've read the books, hired the coach, journaled the prompts, and genuinely believed you were shifting. And then one thing doesn't go as planned, a post that lands flat, a client who says no, a goal that quietly slips by, and the whole thing unravels faster than it came together. You're not back at square one. You're somehow below it. And you can't figure out why the work that used to move you forward suddenly stopped working.
The answer isn't that you're doing it wrong. It's that you've been starting in the wrong place.
The Model Most of Us Were Taught Has a Fatal Flaw
For years I taught, and genuinely believed, that our thoughts create our feelings, our feelings shape our beliefs, our beliefs drive our behavior, and our behavior produces our results. It's a clean model. It makes sense. And it works, until your results don't match your expectations.
The moment they don't, that linear process becomes a loop. A disappointing result influences your thoughts, and suddenly you're thinking "maybe this isn't for me" or "nobody wants what I have." Those thoughts create feelings of shame or frustration, which erode your beliefs about what's possible, which change your behavior, which produce more of the results you don't want. Over and over, tightening every time.
I've watched this happen to women at every level. Brand new entrepreneurs posting for the first time. Seven-figure business owners stepping onto a stage. The level doesn't matter. Without something stable underneath the model, one bad result is enough to send the whole thing into a downward spiral.
Identity Is the Layer Beneath Everything Else
What I've come to believe, and now build everything I teach on, is that underneath every thought, feeling, belief, and behavior is identity. Who you're being before any of that starts.
When Beyoncé steps onto a stage, she doesn't wait to feel confident and then perform. She steps into Sasha Fierce first, a chosen identity, a costume she puts on before a single note is sung. From that identity, her thoughts, her presence, her performance all follow naturally. The identity comes first.
This is what makes identity the actual source code for lasting change. When you choose who you're being before you think or act, your entire inner world reorganizes around that choice. And when results disappoint you, a stable identity holds. It doesn't collapse into the loop.
The Three Paradigms Worth Knowing
I learned these frameworks from my coach Lenka, and they hit home for me in a way that most identity concepts hadn't before. I share them because I think once you see them, you can't unsee them.
The queen knows her worth before anyone confirms it. She shows up with poise, warmth, and confidence, not because she's performing, but because she already is. She loves people deeply without needing anything back. She leads without requiring validation. She makes mistakes and shifts, without making those mistakes mean something about her value.
The ice queen looks confident from the outside, but her confidence is armor. She keeps people at arm's length because getting close feels risky. She leads from protection, not wholeness, and while she might command a room, she often repels the connection she actually wants.
The prostitute gives to get. She says yes when she means no. She undercharges because she doesn't want to push anyone away. She overthinks every post, every offer, every conversation because her worth is sitting in someone else's hands, waiting to be confirmed or denied.
Most of us cycle through all three without realizing it. I know I do. Not long ago I recognized I'd been holding back on social media, posting less, staying quieter than usual. When I got honest about why, it was prostitute energy. I was letting the imagined judgment of one or two people, people I hadn't even spoken to in years, keep me from doing the work I'm here to do.
What Shifts When You Lead from Queen Identity
The queen isn't a personality type. She's a choice. And it's a choice you make over and over, especially when the result disappoints you, especially when someone says no, especially when the world hasn't caught up to who you're becoming yet.
When you start operating from queen identity, something shifts in the people around you too. Your clients feel it. Your relationships recalibrate. The energy you bring into a room changes, not because you've performed something, but because you've decided something.
You are already whole. You already have everything you need. The people in your life are not the source of that. They are the sparkles on top of a cupcake you already are.
Choose the queen. Not once. Over and over, until she stops being a choice and starts being who you are.
