There is a specific kind of stuck that is different from burnout or confusion. It is the kind where you cannot even find yourself anymore. Where someone asks you a simple question about your own business and you open your mouth and nothing comes out that sounds like you.
That is where I found myself not long ago. I had invested in good people with good strategies and somewhere in the process of trying to make it all work, I had handed my power so far over to someone else that I lost the thread back to myself. My message went foggy. My clarity went foggy. And I kept telling myself I just needed to be more patient, more coachable, more trusting of the process.
The truth is I already knew what I needed to do. I just kept arguing with it.
When we outsource our discernment long enough, we stop being able to hear ourselves. And the longer we stay in that fog, the more evidence we collect that we were never that clear to begin with. That is the real cost of giving your power away. Not the money or the time. The disconnection from your own knowing.
In this episode I walked myself through my own Flow State Money Method in real time and shared exactly what happened at each step, including the morning I finally made the decision and felt the fog lift almost instantly.
Here's what this episode will help you understand and apply:
Why your nervous system has to come first before any decision or strategy
How fear disguises itself as patience and coachability
How to tell the difference between resistance to work through and a strategy to release
What it actually feels like when a decision is aligned versus forced
How to come back to your own clarity faster each time you spiral up

How I Stopped Second-Guessing and Finally Trusted Myself
There is a specific kind of stuck that does not announce itself loudly. It creeps in quietly, dressed up as patience and professionalism and trust. You keep showing up. You keep doing the work. You keep telling yourself that the people you hired know what they are doing and that you just need to be more coachable.
And then one day someone asks you a simple question about your own business and you have nothing. Not because you are not smart. Not because you do not know your work. But because you have been living so far inside someone else's framework that you have lost the thread back to yourself.
That is what happened to me.
The Investment That Made Sense on Paper
A couple of years ago I invested in three experts to help me build what I believed would be a powerful, aligned business machine. Website copy, SEO, a funnel. Good people. Strategies that genuinely work for a lot of people. I was excited. I believed in the vision of all three working together.
What I did not account for was what happens when you start overriding your own discernment in the name of being coachable. Every time something felt off, I talked myself out of it. Every time I sensed a misalignment, I told myself I just needed to be more patient. More trusting. More willing to let the process work.
The strategies were not the problem. The people were not the problem. The problem was that I stopped asking myself whether any of it was actually aligned for me.
The Fog Is a Signal, Not a Character Flaw
Eventually things started to feel heavy in a way that had nothing to do with challenge or growth. It did not feel like being stretched. It felt like pushing. Like forcing myself and my business into a shape that did not fit.
And then came the moment I could not answer a basic question about what I do and why people hire me. Total fog. As a peak performance coach who teaches this exact thing.
That was not a failure of intelligence or effort. That was a signal. When you cannot find yourself in your own work anymore, something has gone wrong at the root level. Not with your strategy. With your connection to your own knowing.
What the Flow State Money Method Actually Looks Like in Real Life
I teach the Flow State Money Method to my clients. And in this season, I had to walk myself through every single step of it.
The first step is always nervous system regulation. Not strategy. Not a decision matrix. Not asking anyone else what they think. Getting regulated first, because a brain in fight or flight cannot think clearly no matter how experienced or educated you are. I went back to my breathwork. I went back to my Inner Voice prescription music. Over and over again I had to start there.
The second step is to ask and discern. To get quiet enough to ask God a clear yes or no question and then actually listen for the answer in your body. Not in your head. In your body. This is where I had been cutting corners. I kept thinking instead of listening.
The third step is to identify any resistance to the answer you received. If God says go and you are not going, something is in the way. A limiting belief, a fear, a puppet string you have not named yet. Find it. Shift it.
The fourth step is to take aligned action. Not fearful action. Not reactive action. Action that comes from a regulated nervous system, clear discernment, and shifted resistance.
The Morning Everything Cleared
It was eight thirty in the morning. I had just finished a prayer call with my partner Sarah. And I just knew. I sent the message. I made the decision. And within moments the fog lifted. My message came back. My clarity came back. I remembered exactly what I do and exactly why it matters.
Not because everything was figured out. Because I finally stopped arguing with what I already knew.
What followed was some of the most natural, organic momentum I had experienced in years. A mastermind that came together easily. Calls with people who wanted exactly what I offer. Everything flowing instead of forcing. Not because I finally found the right strategy. Because I came back to myself.
You Already Know
If you are reading this and something in you recognizes this feeling, I want you to hear this. You are not broken. You are not behind. You have not ruined anything by trusting someone else for a season.
But it is time to come back. Back to your own knowing. Back to your own discernment. Back to the clarity that has been waiting for you underneath all the noise.
You already have what you need. You just have to get quiet enough to hear it.
