Your Emotions Aren’t the Problem, They’re the Path to Freedom with Molly Claire
There’s a common lie in the personal development world that says if you just stay high vibe, everything will fall into place. But real alignment isn’t about pretending everything is fine. It’s about being honest with what’s real and choosing to love yourself through it.
That’s the truth Molly Claire and I explored in this week’s conversation on the Spiral Up Podcast. We both believe emotions aren’t barriers to growth. They are invitations to freedom.
That one line from our conversation stopped me in my tracks because it captures what so many women need to hear right now. We’ve been told that joy, confidence, and calm are the goal, but what if the real goal is honesty? When you let yourself feel what’s true without judgment, you create safety in your body and alignment in your spirit.
Molly shared how she’s spent more than a decade helping women navigate their emotional world with compassion instead of control. Together, we talked about how deeply ingrained it is to value logic over emotion and how that conditioning keeps us disconnected from our intuition.
When you suppress your emotions, you also suppress your power.
The Myth of High Vibes Only
There’s a big misconception in manifestation culture that lower emotions are bad or dangerous. Molly explained that the opposite is true. The lowest vibration isn’t sadness or anger. It’s inauthenticity. When you deny what you feel, you block your natural flow of energy.
The truth is that feeling your emotions is not weakness. It is wisdom.
Every emotion you experience is pointing you toward healing. Anger might reveal where a boundary has been crossed. Sadness might show you where something meaningful needs closure. Grief might be the space where God invites you to trust again.
When you stop labeling emotions as good or bad, you start seeing them as messages from your soul.
The Body Remembers What the Mind Ignores
We also talked about how emotions don’t just live in the mind. They live in the body. When we suppress feelings, that energy doesn’t disappear. It gets stored. Over time, it can surface as stress, illness, burnout, or even creative blocks.
That’s why nervous system regulation and somatic practices matter so much. Tools like EFT tapping, journaling, and breathwork can help move emotions through the body safely and gently.
If you’ve ever felt stuck in business or creativity, it might not be a mindset issue at all. It might be unprocessed grief or disappointment showing up as resistance.
Molly shared how grief from unmet expectations or past disappointments can keep women from taking new risks. We hold ourselves back, not because we’re lazy or unmotivated, but because part of us is afraid to feel that same pain again. Healing requires compassion for the parts of us that still hurt.
From Judgment to Compassion
One of the most powerful takeaways from this conversation is that self-compassion is not coddling. It is strategy.
When you meet yourself with grace, you stop wasting energy on shame and guilt. You create emotional safety, which allows you to take consistent, aligned action. God doesn’t expect perfection. He expects presence. The more honest you are with Him about what you feel, the more peace you’ll experience.
Feeling Is the Path to Freedom
Here’s the shift. Your emotions are not interruptions in your spiritual journey. They are your spiritual journey. They’re the place where God meets you in your humanness and transforms pain into purpose.
When you feel your emotions with curiosity instead of fear, they lose their power to control you. That’s where freedom begins.
Molly and I both believe that emotional healing is the key to sustainable success in business and life. You don’t need to force your way to peace. You can feel your way there, one moment, one breath, and one honest prayer at a time.
So today, give yourself permission to pause. Let whatever emotion is asking for your attention come to the surface. Feel it. Bless it. Learn from it. That’s how you spiral up.
