Your Identity is the Source Code: Stop Fixing & Start Remembering

For a long time I was fascinated by the wrong question. Women would tell me exactly what they wanted, a podcast, a resignation letter, one consistent week of posting, and then they wouldn't do it. So I went looking for the reason. The limiting belief, the root cause, the thing that happened when they were six. About eight months ago I got a download that changed the whole paradigm for me. The more we dig around in why we're stuck, the more we keep matching the frequency of stuck.

In this conversation Amy and I go somewhere different with it. We talk about identity as the source code, the first domino that thoughts and feelings and beliefs and actions all fall behind. We talk about the statue of David and Michelangelo carving away the marble to free something that was already in there. And we talk about what happens in the gap after you shift, when your husband is still crabby and your bank account hasn't heard the news yet.

A few things you’ll take away from this episode:

- The three things I warn every client about before an identity recalibration, including the one nobody expects and everybody reports back on.

- Why the delay between your internal shift and your external results is built in on purpose, and the elephant story I use to explain it.

- The reason solving a problem with logic alone limits you to the width of a piece of paper, and where the rest of the options are sitting.

Here is the part I want you to hold onto. You can't mess this up. Practice on the small stuff, the parking lot, the lunch order, the post you almost didn't publish, and you'll build enough evidence to trust yourself when it's the resignation letter. Free will is your superpower, and nobody gets to use it for you. Not your coach, not your mentor, and not me.

Your Identity is the Source Code: Stop Fixing & Start Remembering

with Amy Wilkinson & Dr. LaChelle Wieme

[01:18] Amy Opens the Conversation

Amy Wilkinson introduces Dr. LaChelle Wieme as someone who helps women see the patterns they haven't been able to see on their own and recalibrate their identity in real time. She names the resonance she felt in their first conversation around identity, soul remembrance, and what opens up when women stop searching for what's wrong with them. Amy previews the territory: identity as the source code, the endless cycle of healing and fixing, and what happens when a woman shifts internally before her outside world catches up. She tells listeners she was nodding the whole way through.

[04:23] The Question That Fascinated Her for Years

LaChelle explains what pulled her into this work. Women kept telling her exactly what they wanted to do, start the podcast, quit the job, post more consistently, and then not doing it. Most of them had already hired someone for the strategy and the checklist, and they still weren't executing. So she went hunting for the subconscious beliefs and the blocks underneath the stalling, and she stayed in that territory for years.

[05:46] Where Attention Goes, Energy Flows

About eight months before this conversation, LaChelle had what she calls a download, an idea that arrived out of the blue and rearranged her paradigm. Working on limiting beliefs and root causes meant keeping everyone's attention pinned on the problem. In her words, <em>"where our attention goes, our energy flows."</em> The more time a woman spends in the muck of why she's stuck, the more she realigns with the energy of stuckness, while a version of her who is already doing the thing exists on another frequency entirely.

[07:51] Identity as the Source Code

LaChelle walks Amy through the chain most personal development teaches: thoughts create feelings, feelings create beliefs, beliefs drive actions, actions produce results. Her issue with it is that people let the tail wag the dog, addressing one link at a time while the disappointment loop keeps running underneath it. She puts identity in front of the whole sequence as the first domino. Decide who you want to be, then ask how she thinks, how she feels, what she believes, what she does, and the law of assumption handles the rest.

[12:16] The Statue of David

Here LaChelle gives Amy the image the episode is named for. Michelangelo described seeing the angel in the marble and carving until he set him free, meaning the statue of David was always in there. LaChelle believes we're born on purpose to forget our purpose, and that the programming, the labels, and the lies become the marble packed around the statue. Amy tells her she's never heard it called source code before and that it lands as something already inside you rather than something to go acquire.

[13:51] Remembering Instead of Building

Because she frames the work as remembering, LaChelle says her clients recalibrate in under an hour. She sets their intention, then takes them into an awake hypnosis theta brainwave state where they meet the version of themselves they're describing, whether that comes from this lifetime, a past one, or an ancestor. Her argument on the ancestral piece is blunt: if you can inherit limiting beliefs and stuck energy, you can inherit the good things too. Framing it as remembering rather than performing lets the mirror neurons and the nervous system accept it faster.

[15:34] Three Warnings Before a Session

LaChelle tells Amy she warns every client about three things. Things that used to bother them often stop bothering them, which sounds too good to be true and happens anyway. They also arrive at a frequency where they're finally equipped to face something they weren't ready for before. And the third one, the one clients come back laughing about, is that things which never bothered them before suddenly do, because the contrast between the old frequency and the new one is now impossible to miss.

[18:25] Why Your Outside World Lags Behind

Amy raises the question she hears constantly: what about the woman who shifts and then looks around and nothing has changed. LaChelle's answer is that the lag is on purpose. She offers the elephant, pointing out that if she manifested one outside her window right now it would be a disaster in her tiny neighborhood. The delay between the internal shift and the external evidence is built in to protect you. That gap is exactly where the old identity reaches up and tries to pull a woman back.

[21:16] Identity Stabilization

LaChelle describes how her program grew to hold that gap, which she says her higher self built before she understood what it was for. Her team of trained coaches runs what they call identity stabilization, repeating the recalibration process and teaching integration of mind, body, and spirit. Clients learn to regulate the nervous system at each new growth edge and to follow their own discernment instead of sliding back into old patterns. Amy names the stakes plainly: you're either reinforcing who you're becoming or reinforcing who you've been, and you get to choose.

[24:59] Faith, Authenticity, and Refusing to Compartmentalize

Amy asks how LaChelle brings her God-centered approach into her work. LaChelle says authenticity is a core value for her, so her higher power comes up in natural conversation because she can't compartmentalize what matters to her. People turned off by it were never her clients, and she made peace with that. She adds that she takes her wisdom from lived experience and brings people along while she's still learning, rather than waiting until she has it figured out.

[27:00] The Logician and the Magician

LaChelle teaches Amy's audience her flow state money method, starting with a piece of paper held edge-on. Analyzing a problem from every angle keeps a woman aligned with the frequency of the problem while the solution coexists at another frequency. She braids in the reticular activating system, the red-car effect, and the fact that most beliefs form before age seven, so the brain filters out everything that doesn't match. Logic alone limits the solution set to the width of that paper while the quantum holds a buffet of possibilities.

[30:18] Coherence First, Then Ask

Step one is coherent energy, because a nervous system in fight or flight diverts blood flow away from the part of the brain that thinks clearly. LaChelle points out the absurdity of trying to solve a money problem while panicking about rent. Deep breathing, prayer, and meditation get a woman calm enough to listen, and then she asks for guidance. She teaches body-based methods for yes and no questions so clients can trust what they're hearing, from what to charge to what belongs on today's list.

[32:53] Then Act as Her

Once a client trusts the answer, LaChelle has her step into the identity she named at the start and take the action from there. For LaChelle that's her queen. Should I post this, yes or no, then act like the queen and execute, and repeat it all day long. Only when a woman has moved through all four steps and is still stuck does LaChelle take her into emotion code, body code, or subconscious work, because too many people start there and end up addicted to the healing instead of the action.

[35:38] From Anesthesia to Skincare to Identity Work

Amy asks how a doctor ended up here. LaChelle describes a life that looked finished: her high school sweetheart, two healthy kids, teaching in a doctoral nurse anesthesia program and traveling to speak. She kept striving anyway, and the striving turned out to be her chasing her own worth through degrees and titles. The skincare business she started in 2016 with no social following and no interest in skincare put her in the top 2% of earners in nine months, and more importantly became the lens that showed her she was the last one in the office and the mom arriving at daycare one minute before it closed.

[43:17] Action Before Confidence

LaChelle tells the story of being terrified to post, convinced someone from work would spot her at the supermarket and run the other way rather than get sold an eye cream. She posted anyway, and as she puts it, <em>"I posted again and I didn't die."</em> Walk the fear down through the seven whys and it lands at being judged, then rejected, then alone, which the brain reads as fatal. Her position is that confidence follows action rather than preceding it, and she'd rather take the step, learn what worked, and adjust than think about it for five years.

[46:50] Dead Ends, Divine Timing, and Free Will

For anyone who can't tell guidance from fear, LaChelle says it comes with practice, and she notes she is regularly led to do things she'd rather not do. She tells the story of the father and son who take the turn the boy hears and end up on a dead end road, because sometimes the point is being certain that road isn't the way. She keeps "this or something better" attached to everything she asks for, since who she becomes on the way to the thing is often the real manifestation. Amy closes by asking listeners what move they'd make today if they fully remembered who they are, and LaChelle leaves them with free will as the God-given superpower nobody can use on their behalf.
